If you saw someone beating your mommy ruthlessly with a hammer? How would you react?
Well, this lovely Great Dane could not take it lying down when he saw his mommy being beaten. He jumped on top of his mommy shielding her from her abuser who was raining blows on her.
Most of the blows landed on him. He ended up with broken bones and also had his hip and limbs fractured. All this for his bravery.
The attacker dragged Great Dane into the road allowing the young woman to flee. She sought help from a nearby police station, where plans were hatched to have her seek refuge at Rose Brooks Center.
Because the situation needed a prompt response, the center welcomed its first dog abused by its keeper.
Monsters conquer in the absence of heroes. J Mathew ensured he never won and because of brave Great Dane, 36 other family pets have found refuge at Rose Brooks Center, with the center opening its inaugural domestic violence animal shelter in 2012.
Make sure you watch and share this encouraging story on page 2 to create awareness about Rose Brooks Center so others including women and children who go through such untold suffering may know about the center where they and their pets can run for safety.
