Humane Society in Tampa took in Jasper, a three-year-old, highly energetic dog who was found as a stray by animal services.
The humane society staff noticed how Jasper is not your typical pup, as he was overly energetic. They were concerned that Jasper might have a hard time living in a kennel due to the routinary life that dogs have in the shelter.
Glen Hatchell, who works at the shelter as a dog trainer, wanted to help Jasper in every way he can. He decided to put him in a playgroup with the other dogs. However, it has a little effect on Jasper and still got a lot of energy left after the activity.
Hatchell said that his days became boring as it was repetitive and his play became rougher for other dogs to handle. He also noticed that there are times when Jasper gets a little short-tempered.
Jasper is quite famous in the shelter, and everyone knows the energetic pup, so one of the volunteers suggested letting Jasper run with the cross-country track team.
