Apparently, their volunteer has a daughter who attends a local high school and let Jasper use his energy by running with the kids.
Hatchell personally thought that it was a good idea and immediately coordinated with the team. The Steinbrenner High School team agreed and came to the shelter to pick up Jasper. They took him to run a local park called Al Lopez Park, a minor league baseball park in Tampa.
Hatchell said that Jasper never ran long distances before, and he is surprised to him able to keep up with the team. He ran about three miles on his first day and about 2.5 miles on his second day.
Hatchell is amazed that Jasper still got a lot of energy to spare after his long run and still manages to play with the other dogs.
Running has helped Jasper a lot as he became more relaxed and even found himself, new human friends. Also, things started to look up for the energetic pup as one of the students adopted him and took Jasper with him to college.
