A mysterious box arrives at San Jose Animal Care Center on April 23, 2015. The tattered box was giving off a foul smell and the staff was curious to know what was inside.
When they peeled back the tape they were shocked to realize a terrified dog inside. “Too many animals we noticed are badly treated by their owners and are neglected.”
One of the employees at the center noticed an open, oozing cut on the left shoulder of the dog. The fur was full of fleas, dirt, and feces that she struggled to move on her own.
The staff said, “We wanted to make the dog as comfortable as possible and provide her a happy life from this day forward.”
The dog was named “Pandora” in recognition of the Greek myth. This little guy needed a job done to clean up her matted hair and itchy fleas. After all, is done, we are now able to see his adorable little face.
The animal care center wanted to keep Pandora to see if anyone would come looking for this guy. Sadly enough, no one inquired about her.
During the time she was at the center, they decided to spay her, repair her umbilical hernia and remove any masses. After her recovery, she was very playful and her silly characters emerged. The dog slowly learns to trust again.
Pandora’s biopsy results came in and the cysts she has been diagnosed as a malignant tumor. You may think this story has a sad ending but check this video for yourself on page 2…..
