Florida fire station never had a dog however now there are eight cute little pups! The paramedic team at Apopka Station 5 never owned a dog until one came to the station and giving more than they asked for.
Lt. Renee Beasley said, “when I went outside to see her she was pregnant.” Beasley basically shifted is the normal routine of work and became a canine nurse. She helped deliver 8 from the mother.
When you look at the mother’s belly she looked pregnant however she was underweight. They also found 12 nails in her stomach. This is due to her looking for food on the street.
Seven of the eight pups survived. The paramedics normally save human lives however this time their work shift changed to puppy dad. The story was shared on social media and we got lots of attention and help.
We have an awesome community and everybody came out to help. Many people offered to help with food, vet costs, and a waiting list of potential adopters.
Beasley said “She is probably going to stay with us. We have become attached to her”.
