Dogs consider their family as part of them and would never leave them. We should not look at dogs as disposable objects in times of change.

Rocco, the dog, was handed over to an animal shelter in Dallas. He didn’t know why his family took him there. With his face looking sad, Rocco looked up and asked passerby, “What am I doing here?”
Adopting a dog to a shelter is very traumatizing. The dog is not used to the smell and noise in such an environment, let alone the people found there.
A woman who had come to the shelter saw Rocco shaking in fear. She decided to make a video to post it online. She hoped that a rescue group would come out and help. The video caught the attention of a foster affiliated to DFW German Shepherd Rescue.
After looking at the video, Preethi Pillaipakkam headed for the shelter to rescue the dog. She told the DoDo that the environment in a shelter was unfit for Rocco. He was scared of getting into my vehicle. He even moved under the seat to hide his face. He was panting a bit and looked stressed.
